Viewing Board Policies

• The policies were created using Adobe Acrobat's .pdf file format. To view, download or print a policy you will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed you can download it for free from Adobe's website.

Searching through the Board Policies

• When searching with keywords, do not use common words such as: and, or, the, etc.
• Wildcard searches are supported. Example: searching for stu* will return results for any word beginning with stu ; searching for s*nt will return results for any word beginning with s and ending with nt
• Exact phrase searching: To search for an exact phrase you will need to enclose the phrase within quotation marks. Example: searching for "student car" will return results with any document that includes the phrase student car.
• To search through only a particular section of the Board Policy click on the drop down menu titled Section and select the section you wish to search through.
• The search engine is not case sensitive.
• Search results will be displayed in the following format:
  • Policy Description and Number [Policy Section Title - Policy Section Number]
    Section of document that includes your searched keyword or search phrase. The phrase or keyword will be highlighted.
    Number of terms matched. Score based on relevance to search. URL to matching document.

   

Navigating through the Policies

• The left navigation bar includes six links that will open a table of contents for each section. The table of contents will then list each policy within that particular section. You can view a single policy by clicking on either the Policy Description or Policy Number, you can also view a printable table of contents by clicking on the link titled Index.
• When viewing a policy you can go back to the table of contents by clicking on the Back button on your browser or by clicking on one of the links on the left of the page.

Downloading and Printing a copy of a Board Policy or Table of Contents

• To download a copy of a Board Policy click on the Floppy Disk Icon found on the Adobe Acrobat Reader tool bar when you are viewing the Board Policy.
• To print a copy of a Board Policy click on the Printer Icon found on the Adobe Acrobat Reader tool bar when you are viewing the Board Policy.
