You have heard the saying out with the old and in with the new, that is where we are at this time. We are closing out the 2007-08 school year and getting ready for the 2008-09 school year. Renovations on the current Mt. Juliet High School and the Mt. Juliet Middle Schools are on schedule. The construction at the new Mt. Juliet High School is moving at a rapid pace. The 2008-09 school year will be an exciting time for Wilson County Schools, with the opening of the Elzie D. Patton Elementary , the new Mt. Juliet High School and the moving of the Mt. Juliet Middle School to the previous Mt. Juliet High School.

Juliet High School to the GCA Custodial Contract Approved Budget Amendment #2008-09 General Purpose Fund Approved Budget Amendment #2008-02 Federal Projects Fund Approved Memorandum of Agreement with Well Child, Inc Approved Addition of Graduate on Time Course for the 2008-09 School Year Approved Renewal of Agreement with Volunteer State Community College Approved Additional Changes to the Code Of Conduct for the 2008-09 School Year Approved Changes to Current Job Descriptions for Employees Approved Extension of Outside Service Agreement with University Medical Center for 2008-09 Voted to competitively bid the new Lebanon High School Approved Budgets for the 2008-2009 School Year Set Work Sessions date of June 16, 2008 at 5:30 p.m. and Board Meeting date of July 7, 2008 Wilson County High Schools' graduation ceremonies were a success with one-thousand, one hundred and seven (1,107) seniors receiving their high school diplomas. Lebanon High School had three hundred and thirty-one (331) graduates, Mt. Juliet High School had three hundred and ninety ( 390) graduates, Watertown High School had seventy-seven ( 77) graduates and Wilson Central High School had three hundred and nine (309) seniors to receive their diplomas. It was an exciting time for these students, their families and school faculty. One hundred eighty-eight (188) students received their GED on May 15, 2008, including Country Music Star and Wilson County resident, Gretchen Wilson. Twenty-four Wilson County Adult High School students received their high school diplomas in a ceremony held at the First United Methodist Church on June 8, 2008. We wish much success to the 2008 Graduating Classes of Wilson County Schools.
