Wilson County Schools will be implementing an eight component (see above) initiative to promote the social, mental, and physical wellness of our students.  Our CSH Program will focus on reducing health risk behaviors relating to physical activity, violence, nutrition and tobacco use that result in chronic disease through the promotion of effective school policies, environmental changes and educational strategies at the school district level.  We will provide additional opportunities for school staff to improve their health status through activities such as health assessments, health education and health-related fitness activities.  State supported initiatives such as GetFitTN and the Governor’s Project Diabetes will be promoted and supported through our CSH Program.
