The Wilson County Pre-Kindergarten program is where your child can learn and grow. Our purpose is to help children prepare to enter school, to encourage a healthy respect for self and others, and to enrich and involve children in order to kindle a zest for future learning and growth.

All student in the Wilson County Schools Pre-Kindergarten program MUST meet 2 or more of the following eligibility requirements:

  • The child turns 4 years old by September 30th
  • The family is income eligible for free/reduced price meals at school
  • The child has an IEP (Individual Education Plan) and the team determines placement in the Pre-K program appropriate
  • The child is in state or foster care
  • A parent is deployed in the military
  • Other extenuating circumstances (determined on an individual basis)
