Below are the instructions for setting up Microsoft Outlook with your email account:

 

  • Click on Start then Programs then Microsoft Office then Microsoft Office Outlook 2003

 

 

  • Your screen will look like the screen below.  Click Next and you will be on the Account Configuration Window.

  • Below is the Account Configuration window.  Make sure Yes is selected and click on Next.  This will take you to the Email Accounts Window.

  • Below is the Email Accounts Window.  Select Microsoft Exchange Server and click Next.

  • The next step is to put in the name of the Microsoft Exchange Server .  The Microsoft Exchange Server is WCSMAIL

 

  • THE NEXT PART IS VERY IMPORTANT
  • PUT IN YOUR PERSONAL USER NAME WHICH WILL BE THE SAME AS YOU LOG ON TO YOUR COMPUTER WITH.  IT WILL BE YOUR LAST NAME AND FIRST INITIAL.  IF YOU PUT IN SWAFFERB YOUR EMAIL WILL NOT WORK.

 

  • Also, uncheck Use Cached Exchange Mode.  See below.

When you enter your User Name click the Check name button to the right of the user name field and it will verify your name.

  • Click Finish at the screen below.

  • Now we are going to turn off Archives.  Open up Outlook.

 

  • Go to Tools then Options.  See below.

  • After you click on Options the screen below will come up.

  • Click on the Other Tab like below.

  • Click on the AutoArchive button and the screen below will come up.

  •  Uncheck Run AutoArchive every 14 days so it looks like the screen below.

  • Congrats!  You have set up your Outlook email and turned off AutoArchives.
